LUNCH: If you choose to send your child with a lunch from home, please make sure it is in a brown paper bag, ziplock bag, or
a lunch box. Please label the luch with your child’s name and the word “lunch”. Also, if your child has a lunch box, please make sure to label it with your child’s name and class number so that it does not get lost in the lunch room.
SNACK: Students will be given time for snack everyday. At PS18 we emphasize the importance of eating healthy. Please make sure to send your child with a healthy snack each day. You can send in a piece of fruit, yogurt, applesauce, pretzels, goldfish,
cheese & crackers, etc. Please do NOT send in candy, sugary foods/drinks, soda or glass bottles/containers. PLEASE SEND
THE SNACK IN A BROWN BAG OR A ZIPLOCK BAG LABELED WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME.
All of the snack will be stored in one snack bin at your child’s table – this will alleviate kids mixing up the snacks! Also, please
label it “snack” so your child can distinguish between snack and his/her lunch.
